In this paper the study of the dynamic characterization of Alto Ceira II dam, by means of experimental and numerical methods, is presented. The characterization of the dam dynamic behaviour for empty and full reservoir was made by performing forced vibration and ambient vibration tests. A numerical model has been developed and calibrated with the experimental results, in order to do the interpretation of these results.
