This paper presents and analyses some tests on reinforced concrete beams, which had been previously strengthened with post-installed steel bars or FRP composites, and also a new technique (CREatE) developed in the FCT NOVA. The experimental results led to the conclusion that CREatE enables considerable increases in strength and ductility when compared with traditional techniques.
