ABSTRACT:
In sports, whether in federated or amateur practitioners, the human body is put to the test in many different ways. Being naturally healthy your practice, there are some limit requests that the human body can be submitted. If these limits are exceeded, the benefits of sport can become into problems for athlete’s health. In this study vibrations in Hand-Arm systems during the basketball practice were evaluated, in a female team, considering six different actions, right hand and left hand. It was evaluated the influence of the floor type in the induced vibrations in the athletes. If there is no standard that governs the vibrations induced in the practice of sports the data from biomechanical study were analyzed in terms of comfort and health of athletes according to the international standard ISO 5349. The values obtained are compared with international reference values, indicated by directive No. 2002/44/EC currently used in the country.
