Prestressing strands are being used in the retrofitting of concrete structures because of its active effect. The retrofitting with prestressing is efficient not only for the Ultimate Limit States but also for the Service Limit States. In 2007 an anchorage system with anchorages by bonding was patented, which was further developed and applied to the strengthening of flat slabs. Aiming to develop new systems for more efficient anchorages, an experimental campaign on hybrid anchorages, using bonding associated with mechanical effects, was performed. These tests consisted in pullout of strands sealed in concrete.
